About
I started Hopscotch Consulting, LLC in 2008 after nearly two decades
in the "kid biz" where I was lucky enough to work with some of the industry's best and brightest: Fox Kids, Fox Family, Disney, Nordstrom,
Thomson Newspapers, Scholastic, Hasbro, DreamWorks and Microsoft. My passion has always been writing and editing but over the course of my career,
I've been on just about all sides of the business: marketing, advertising, business development, branding, technology, project management
and production. In my past life I founded the award-winning FreeZone Network, the first safe online community for kids; started a teen
fashion web site for Nordstrom.com and was the VP and GM of Fox Kids and Fox Family Channel's online properties (now owned by ABC/Disney).
I'm a member of the Society of Children's Writers & Illustrators, the Northwest Editor's Guild, The Pacific Northwest Writers Association,
The Society for Professional Journalists and a longtime volunteer and program planner for the American Cancer Society's Camp Goodtimes,
a camp for children with cancer and their siblings based in Washington State.
